About Maker Matter

Maker Matter is an online craft shop. We stock Japanese and Czech beads, knitting needles, general craft and scrapbooking supplies, and a selection of odd-lot quality yarns.

Who we are

Maker Matter was created by Amy and Sheldon Finlay of KnittingHelp.com, our original site and the premier knitting video website. For more than twenty years, knitters have learned from KnittingHelp.com and trusted it, and we run this shop with the same care.

What we stock

• Beads: Japanese and Czech glass beads.
• Knitting needles and the tools that go with them.
• Craft and scrapbooking supplies.
• Odd-lot yarns: quality yarn in small lots, sometimes a discontinued colorway. These are listed exactly as they came to us, and when a lot is gone, it is gone.

How we describe things

Every listing is written from the item in front of us: what it is, how much of it there is, and what condition it is in. Photographs are of the actual goods. If a detail matters for matching a project and we know it, it is in the listing or the spec table.

Where we ship from

Orders go out from Massachusetts by USPS. You choose the service at checkout, and what it costs — including when it is free — is on our Shipping & Returns page.

Questions

There is a person on the other end of the email. Write to orders@makermatter.com — about an order, about whether something will match what you have, about anything.
